Create Multiple Items in Walmart via Flat File
(Seller Fulfilled Type)
Who is this for? For individuals who to create new listings on their Walmart Seller Central account.
Objective: Successfully create bulk listings in Walmart via flat file and know all the required attributes to be able to create the listing.
The bare minimum requirements in creating Walmart listings are:
- SKU
- Product ID (UPC, EAN, GTIN, ISBN)
- Product ID Type
- Product Name
- Description
- Key Product Features (not required but good to have)
- Brand
- Selling Price
- Main Image URL
- Secondary Images (not required but good to have)
- Package Weight (lbs) if in a different weight unit please convert to lbs.
- Restriction Type (this attribute is category specific)
Instructions:
1. Log in to Walmart seller central account. Go to https://seller.walmart.com/
2. Go to Items under the Product Catalog. And click Manage Items and choose Add Items from the dropdown.
3. You will be redirected to the Add Items page. Click the “Walmart template” link.
4. Select "Create a full-setup template".
5. You will be redirected to the Add Items in bulk page.
- Select fulfillment type
- Choose Seller Fulfilled
- Download and complete a setup spec
- Choose Full Setup - You can choose up to 7 categories, click Apply and Download.
6. Open the downloaded flat file and fill out the required and necessary columns and save.

7. Go back to the Add items in bulk page and upload the template. 
8. Click Submit
9. A success message will show up with the feed ID. Then the file will start to process.
10. Check the feed ID on the Activity Feed under Product Catalog to see if the update is successfully processed. If the upload has errors, download the error report to read the issues, try to fix them, and reupload. 
11. To verify if you have successfully created the listings. Go to Items under the Product Catalog, you should be able to see the new listings in this section in 5-10 minutes (depending on the number of listings that have been loaded). Visit the product detail page to confirm if all information is correctly showing on the PDP. Hover the mouse over the listing and click View on Walmart.com .
