Overview
In this article, you will learn about Sellercloud’s Sales Comparison reports. These reports compare the current period’s sales to those of an earlier period and provide insights into your business performance.

Sales Comparison Reports
There are two Sales Comparison Reports:
- Sales Comparison Summary – shows sales performance based on specific parameters such as company, channel, comparison, comparison method, comparison type, and intervals back. This report gives you an overall picture of your business.
- Sales Comparison Detail – more focused on going into detail for specific products and vendors. It provides more granular information, allowing you to generate the report based on additional criteria such as manufacturer, brand, vendor, product type, product group, and SKU.
Customize Sales Comparison Reports
These reports let you view information based on specific selections. Refer to the drop-downs below for descriptions of each report’s filters:
Sales Comparison Summary

Compare sales for one or more companies. |
| Company Groups |
Compare sales for one or more company groups. |
| Channel |
Compare sales on or more sales channels. |
| Compare By |
Base the sales comparison on the selected option. For example, selecting Company will compile and group sales data per company. |
| Compare Interval |
Base sales totals are on the selected period of time. For example, selecting Quarter will total the sales data for the current quarter. |
| Comparison Method |
Three types of comparisons are available:
- YearOverYear: compare sales in that interval to an identically long prior period. This option is available for any interval selection.
- QuarterOverQuarter, MonthOverMonth, WeekOverWeek: compare sales in the selected interval to an identical period. The WeekOverWeek filter will include data from Sunday to Sunday for each week.
- Intervals Back: select how many prior intervals should be reported.
