Catalog SOP: Cancelling a Lightning Deal in Seller Central

Who is this for: This is intended for sellers on the Seller Central platform who are responsible for managing Lightning Deals.

Objective: To guide sellers through the process of canceling a Lightning Deal on Seller Central. To ensure that sellers can efficiently and accurately update their Lightning Deals to meet their business needs and promotional strategies.

Before any cancellation of a running Lightning Deals, it is important to inform, brief details and get client’s approval. Include the approval proof (screenshot or fireflies call link) as Task Details or as a Comment.

  1. To cancel a Lightning Deal, go to the “Advertising” tab on the top menu of Seller Central and select “Deals” from the Drop-Down Menu.

  2. On the following page, enter the ASIN or SKU associated with your Deal in the search bar. Select the status of your Deal from the Drop-Down Menu under “Status”, and choose your Lightning Deal from the “Deal Type” Drop-Down Menu, along with the desired date option from the “Date” Drop-Down Menu.


  3. Once you have located your Lightning Deal and it is in the Status Mode of “Upcoming”, “Needs Attention” or “Draft”, you can cancel it by selecting “Cancel Deal” from the Drop-Down Menu of the “Edit” button located to the right of the Deal.

  4. Alternatively, you can cancel the Deal by clicking the “Edit” button located to the right of the Deal, which will open up the Deal page, and then clicking the “Cancel Deal” link located on the top right side of the page.

  5. A Pop-Up Window will appear, giving you the option to either cancel or keep the Deal. To cancel the Deal, click the “Yes, cancel this deal now” button. To keep the Deal, click the “Don’t Cancel” button.
